Hotels With Guest Fee

September 5th, 2008

If you are planning to partake of the boys while visiting Thailand, it is important to know some hotels charge a cost prohibitive fee for a guest to enter your room, and this is not limited to overnight stays by that guest. I assume this is done to keep the “undesirables” out.

The following hotels in Bangkok will charge 1000 Baht for a guest visit:

Ambassador
Dusit Thani
Pinnacle
Tawana Ramada
Siam City

NOTE: Some of the hotels listed here have been sourced from other individuals and are not verified. Also keep in mind all hotel policies are subject to change.

NOTE: This fee is for a visiting guest only, and does not apply to anyone checking in with you.

In Pattaya, the New Paradise Inn (Sunee Plaza Area) will try and charge a 250 Baht fee for a guest, but this is really the night clerk’s way of pocketing some extra cash. If you demand a receipt, for the purpose of filing a complaint with management in the morning, he will back off.

Plaza Hotel Bkk charges B600 for guests visiting between 6pm & 6am, unless you check him in.
Room@Silom was OK, just a knowing nod was needed.

  2. David Says:

Pinnacle is usually pretty liberal. If they do ask for a fee it’s 500, not 1000. Annoying, but that’s the way it is.

Grand Hotel on Walking Street Pattaya was guest-friendly, but ID was retained..
Diamond Beach Hotel Pattaya was ok, boy’s ID retained, and the security would call to make sure everything ok.
Grand Jomtien Palace Pattaya was ok - just smile to the sleepy receptionist when you take your key.
Narai Hotel Bkk was strict with unregistered guests, but day-time guests were ok.

Siam Heritage hotel on Suriwong Rd had a very strict “no unregistered guests allowed” policy when I stayed there 2 years ago. Nice hotel though otherwise.

Boycott hotels that charge a joiners fee.

If you have already paid for a double room, the joiners fee is unreasonable.

  6. jb Says:

saladaeng place is another which charges for a joiner
